Wednesday, 23 March 2022 – The Covid-19 virus pandemic that is hitting Indonesia at this time of course has an impact on all community activities, one of which is in the Education sector, especially in carrying out the Tridharma of Higher Education activities whose activities include Teaching, Research and Community Service. As one of the obligations that must be carried out by the Academic Community, the Culinary Education Study Program carries out online community service activities via video conference using the Zoom application.

On this occasion, the Culinary Education Study Program carried out Community Service to SOS Children’s Villages with the theme “Creatively Maintaining Family Nutrition During the COVID-19 Pandemic” with one of the lecturers of the Culinary Education Study Program as a resource, Dr. Cica Yulia, M.Si. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, awareness is needed in increasing the immune system to maintain the body’s defenses against bacteria, viruses and disease-causing organisms. “Good nutrition is needed before, during and after infection, because after being infected with the COVID-19 virus the body experiences a decrease in immunity so it requires additional energy and nutrients,” said Dr. Cica Yulia, M.Si

The implementation of Community Service runs smoothly even though it is carried out online. Participants participated in the webinar enthusiastically. Activities are carried out by providing material and then conducting question and answer sessions and interactive discussions.
